Bonnie and Gucci absolutely adore each other! They appear to be Chihuahua mixes about 5 and 6 years old, respectively. They keep each other company, but aren't possessive of each other. Both of them enjoy being up on the couch beside their people while they read or watch TV. And you must make sure to check the blankets before you sit down to be sure they haven't burrowed under them! They like to follow you around the house. Both dogs are house trained - they go out four times a day. When it's cold outside, sometimes Bonnie has to be carried out because she just hates the cold (can you relate?). They are also crate trained and walk on a leash. They have what could be called that Chihuahua hesitation around new people - especially Bonnie. They like to be sure everyone is friendly towards them. They seem to like women better than men and have been known to bite at men's ankles while growling a warning. They have been fostered with three kitties and one large dog who ignored them. They do bark when someone comes in the house, but quickly quiet down. We recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes. These cuties are smart and eager to please - most of the time - and this would be a wonderful opportunity to get in some quality bonding time as well as build confidence and do some socializing with new dogs and people. Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation - think puzzle toys and games. Because of their size a home with older respectful children is recommended. Though these pups don't necessarily need a fenced yard, they will need daily leash walks for exercise and to answer nature's call.
Bonnie and Gucci can't wait to burrow under blankets and cuddle on the couch in their forever home with people who'll love 'em to bits - and a basket full of small soft toys would be sweet! These two together won't take up much room in your home, but they'll fill up your life and your heart with so much love! Fill out an application today - Bonnie and Gucci are waiting just for you!

We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence.
